Players should select one of the many (41) Careers listed below as their starting Hero's profession.
They come with some basic starting equipment and a few gold coins, perhaps to buy some other equipment - see the Equipment Section. We need the Heroes to acquire better gear and loot to give them a basic reason to earn some gold and go on adventures to improve their gear.
Spellcasting Heroes will have a section of recommended spells and cantrips already on their Hero sheet. These are noted for the rapidity of play. - see the section on Spells and Magic to customise their starting known spells, the player may swap spells (of an equal circle of magic) at the GM's discretion.

After determining what Hero the player will play go to the appropriate section and select (or roll) to determine the Hero's Appearance, Personality and Background.
The GM may allow experienced players to create their own Hero Career. The player must decide on a name for the career and write a brief description of what the hero is about, then assign each or the Hero's Skill a Rank as listed below. The GM has the final say on whether or not the player-created Career can be used in his game.
Assign the Following Skill Ranks to the 15 Skills that represent a Hero.
Then calculate the Hero's other remaining STATS.
